I am writing this because I believe in Ty. I believe that Ty will be one of the top stick makers of this generation. I didn't just start to play pool, I have played for over 40 years. I have a beautiful Rich. I also enjoy having a Viking, Mcdermott, Buddy Baker, John Guffy, a wonderful old Brunswick, 2 Lucasi and several other cues that I love. But, the cue I use to shoot with, because of the comfort, stroke and it's looks, is Lucy. I love the way she plays. I am having Ty build me another stick with some features that I wanted. With his input and style, I believe this stick, in a few years, will be worth three times what it cost to have it made. I love Ty's work and his ability to create a work of art.

Ty is a great craftsman. I too am an artist and when I learned of Ty, I knew I needed to talk to him. I had been wanting a new cue for a couple of years. I just didn't know what I wanted. I have been playing solely with a Meucci for 10 years and wanted something very similar but different styling.
Ty and I started the design phase by his asking what I wanted in a cue. I only had two requests: a celtic knot and a 10 mm shaft. I also wanted him to take the reins and design all of the other elements of the cue. He asked if I wanted a wrap and since the Meucci has a sealed wrap, I decided against the wrap. He duplicated the Meucci's shaft (diameter and profile) for an easy transition to the new cue. A short time later, I was shown the knot aspect of the cue. I was nothing but amazed. When he had the inlays on the butt completed, he wanted to get my opinion. I was very happy with his design. The double points, turquoise inlays and the contrast of the wood made for great, minimalist design.
When the cue was completed, I retired the Meucci and started playing with the 'knot'. The cue was very well balanced and true. For the relatively short time I have played with this cue, I have more confidence (with my stroke) than I have had with the Meucci.
Ty guarantees his work and if something is wrong, he will do everything he can to make it right. He has been a pleasure to work with and I know I'll be coming back for another Ty original.
